Roma chase Summerville while Godts remains key alternative
AS Roma have placed Crysencio Summerville at the top of their transfer list, while Ajax striker Mika Godts is being positioned as the club’s primary alternative should the Dutch international’s move fall through in the upcoming window.
The Italian side is reportedly preparing a bid of around forty million euros, bonuses included, for the winger who is currently under contract with West Ham United.
Roma intend to secure a personal agreement with Summerville first, and the Dutch international is said to be seeking a yearly salary of six to seven million euros.
Tony D'Amico, sporting director of Roma, has set a one‑week deadline for a response from Summerville; failure to reply will see the Italian club abandon the pursuit.
If the transfer does not materialise, the Italians have identified Godts as the most interested alternative, with Ajax reportedly demanding between thirty‑five and forty million euros for the forward.
Diego Moreira is also mentioned as a serious candidate, indicating that Roma have multiple options should their primary target prove unattainable.
Roma expect a decisive answer within the week and will then turn their attention to Godts or other candidates to reinforce their attacking line.
