Real Madrid turns to Haaland as Olise deal stalls this summer
French forward Michael Olise has re‑emerged in transfer speculation linking him with Real Madrid, while both the Merengue club and Bayern Munich publicly downplay the rumours; reports say the Frenchman wants to join Los Blancos this summer, yet journalist Christian Falk asserts the Merengues have no realistic chance of signing him now.
Another report says the Frenchman has told his French teammates that he intends to leave Bayern Munich and join Real Madrid next season, underscoring his personal ambition. The club, however, has officially restrained any discussion of a transfer.
Christian Falk, writing in his CF Bayern Insider column, states the Merengues are ready to turn their attention to Erling Haaland after conceding the Olise deal is out of reach. He also adds that the chances of landing the Norwegian superstar are not particularly bright.
Cucurella teeters on a bold tattoo as Spain eyes World Cup final
Olise is considered highly unlikely to join Los Blancos this summer, but the door to a move to Real Madrid is not permanently closed. It remains to be seen whether he will renew his contract with Bayern Munich; a failure to do so could force the Bavarians to sell him. For the upcoming season, Olise is set to stay at his current club. After an excellent 2025‑26 season with Bayern Munich, he was unable to keep up his good performances in World Cup 2026, especially in the semi‑final against Spain where his limitations were exposed. Spending another year at Bayern Munich before moving to Real Madrid as a more firmly established star could be a sensible step for his career.
