Hearts secure free transfer of imposing Dutch keeper Beau Reus

🇬🇧 By 4All Football Editorial ·
In Edinburgh, Hearts of Midlothian gathered fans and staff as they officially introduced 24‑year‑old Beau Reus, the imposing Dutch goalkeeper arriving on a free transfer from Belgium’s SK Beveren and signing a three‑year deal with the Scottish club in a move that signals ambition. Hearts described Reus on their official channels as an "imposing Dutchman", noting that a few confirmations are still pending before he can fully commence training with the Edinburgh side. Reus spent the past four seasons as Beveren’s first‑choice goalkeeper, earning praise for his performances between the posts. After missing promotion in his first two seasons, Beveren finished as unbeaten champions last season and secured promotion to the Jupiler Pro League, with Reus playing a key role in that success. The 24‑year‑old developed in the AZ youth academy and featured for the Dutch club’s reserve team between 2019 and 2022. Although a free agent, Reus attracted interest from Werder Bremen, Málaga and Elche, but Hearts won the race for his signature, a development previously reported by the media. Hearts were the surprise runners‑up in Scotland last season, following a thrilling title battle that went down to the final matchday.
