Liverpool monitor Eli Junior Kroupi amid £100m valuation

🇫🇷
Liverpool are closely monitoring Eli Junior Kroupi as Bournemouth set a valuation above £100 million for the 19‑year‑old forward. Kroupi scored 13 Premier League goals in his debut season, establishing himself as one of the league’s most dangerous young attackers. Bournemouth signed Kroupi from Lorient for around £12 million, a deal now viewed as one of their shrewdest recent acquisitions. Under Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, Kroupi’s development has been highlighted; Iraola told BBC Match of the Day that the striker “is a finisher… his strength is that he smells the opportunities” and is proficient with both feet. Liverpool’s recruitment strategy, which targets elite talent before they peak, sees Kroupi’s technical quality, composure and spatial awareness as a perfect fit, though there is no indication of an immediate move given Liverpool’s existing attacking options. Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown said Liverpool will certainly be interested in Kroupi and that a “huge offer” could persuade Bournemouth to sell, noting that top European clubs are also watching his progress. The main obstacle remains Bournemouth’s lofty valuation; if a club meets it, Kroupi could join Liverpool or another major side, but his rise has already moved him beyond the status of a mere prospect.
