West Ham United reinforce defence with Estelle Cascarino return

🇬🇧 By 4All Football Editorial ·
West Ham United have bolstered their defensive options by re‑signing Estelle Cascarino on a permanent basis. The 29‑year‑old French defender returns to the Hammers after a successful loan, providing depth ahead of the new campaign and aims to strengthen the back line as the squad rebuilds. WSL Full-Time received an official club press release from The Hammers this morning confirming the signing. The announcement confirmed the permanent nature of the deal and highlighted the club’s intent to secure key players. The 29‑year‑old joins West Ham United from Italian Serie A Athora club Juventus. Her move marks a return to England after a stint in Italy. Juventus confirmed her departure as part of the transfer. Cascarino has signed a three‑year contract at the Chigwell Construction Stadium. The deal ties her to the club until 2026, providing long‑term stability in defence. She previously enjoyed a loan spell with West Ham United in the second half of last season. During that period she made 12 appearances for The Hammers across all competitions. Throughout her career she has also featured for Lyon, Paris FC, Bordeaux, Paris Saint‑Germain and Manchester United. These experiences have given her a broad European pedigree. On the international stage Cascarino has been capped by France 18 times, scoring one goal for her country. Her international experience adds valuable leadership to the squad. After re‑joining, Cascarino said, “I feel really happy to be back at West Ham United. I made my decision quickly that I wanted to be back here permanently.” She looks forward to pre‑season with Rita Guarino and noted the club has already signed eight players this summer.
