Vitesse wins legal battle as Hoge Raad backs Gerechtshof

Vitesse has secured a crucial legal victory in the protracted dispute over the KNVB’s licence revocation last year, with the case dragging on through the courts. The Hoge Raad upheld the Gerechtshof’s earlier ruling and dismissed the federation’s complaints, confirming the club’s position.

The issue concerns the KNVB’s withdrawal of Vitesse’s licence last year, which led to a prolonged legal battle. Vitesse pursued the case through the courts, ultimately achieving a decisive legal win.

In the cassation procedure, De Hoge Raad upheld the Gerechtshof’s judgment. It also rejected the KNVB’s complaints, leaving the appellate decision unchanged.
