Summerville opens door as AS Roma line up €40m bid

🇮🇹 By 4All Football Editorial ·
AS Roma are seeking to reinforce their attacking line, and Dutch international forward Crysencio Summerville, who currently plays for West Ham United, has signalled his willingness to join, opening the door for a potential transfer, as reported by transfer journalist Matteo Moretto earlier today. Corriere dello Sport first broke the news on Friday, placing Summerville at the top of Roma's wish list as the club looks to strengthen its front line. The Italian daily highlighted the Dutchman's potential impact on the Serie A side. According to Moretto, Summerville is open to a move to the Italians, though no personal agreement has been reached between the player and AS Roma. The forward still needs to finalise personal terms with the club. AS Roma must now find an agreement with West Ham United, Summerville's current employer. The Italian side therefore needs to start negotiations with the English club. Reports suggest Roma are preparing a bid of roughly forty million euros, including bonuses, to acquire Summerville. It is not known whether that amount will be sufficient to reach an agreement with West Ham. Because Summerville opened the door, the Italians are not currently approaching Ajax for the services of Mika Godts. The Belgian winger would be considered as an alternative to Summerville, according to earlier reports. The next steps involve Roma securing a deal with West Ham United and finalising personal terms with Summerville. No personal agreement has been reached yet.
