Rudi Garcia's staff member quits the Diables to join Club Brugge
Performance analyst Maxim Wouters, who has worked alongside Rudi Garcia’s staff at the Diables, is leaving the Belgian national team to take up a new role at Club Brugge. The move ends his contract with the Belgian federation and shifts his focus to youth development.
Wouters was under contract with the Belgian federation and will now serve as the link between Club Brugge’s first team and its Blauw en Zwart training centre.
Since May 2023, Maxim Wouters travaillait as a performance analyst for the Union Belge, collaborating closely with Rudi Garcia and his staff at the Diables Rouges.
From the United States, he was tasked with analysing the Diables Rouges. Aux opponents by reviewing video and dissecting statistics throughout the World Cup.

He will not take part in the Euro 2028 qualification campaign in England, as he has reached an agreement with Club Brugge. Based in Venise du Nord, he becomes the new head coach responsible for youth development, guiding players such as Maxim De Cuyper and Joaquin Seys toward the A‑team. The position follows a path once taken by Carl Hoefkens and Rik De Mil, and forces Wouters to end his tenure as head coach of Sporting Kampenhout in the first provincial division.
