Real Madrid's Galactico gamble hinges on three conditions
Earlier today French newspaper L’Equipe reported that 24‑year‑old winger Michael Olise is ready to join Real Madrid this summer, with Los Blancos reportedly preparing a world‑record offer exceeding €150 million for the Galactico target. The deal would see the French international move from Bayern Munich, where he is currently linked, to the Spanish giants.
It was suggested that the French international has informed teammates during the World Cup that he would like to play for Los Blancos, prompting the Spanish club to line up a historic bid. Real Madrid’s interest reflects their desire to add a creative winger to a squad already rich in talent.
Respect for Bayern comes first. However, journalist Arancha Rodriguez of COPE said Real Madrid have no intention of engaging in a transfer battle with Bayern Munich for Olise and would only consider a move if the player’s situation changes significantly.

Three things must happen for a formal approach: first, Olise must tell Bayern Munich that he wishes to leave; second, Bayern must signal a willingness to negotiate; third, Real Madrid would need to fund a fee above €150 million, likely requiring the sale of one of their own star players to balance the books. As things stand, the club are not actively working on a deal for Olise and view any potential transfer as dependent on circumstances that have yet to materialise. In a statement on June 20, Los Blancos denied any direct or indirect contact with the player or his representatives and reiterated their strong institutional relationship with Bayern Munich. Will Olise become the new Galactico? If the three conditions are met, Madrid could secure the winger and deepen their squad, while Bayern would lose a prized asset; if not, the status quo between the two European giants remains unchanged.
