Official Fiorentina Amir Richardson returns to Le Havre AC on loan

🇫🇷 By 4All Football Editorial ·

Le Havre AC have officially announced the return of ACF Fiorentina midfielder Amir Richardson, 24, on loan from La Viola, with an €8 million buy‑out clause attached to the deal. The 24‑year‑old will re‑join the Hacmen for the upcoming season, providing the club with a fresh midfield option.

Richardson is a product of the Normandy club’s development academy, and his homegrown status aligns with Le Havre’s emphasis on nurturing local talent. The midfielder’s familiarity with the region is expected to aid his integration into the HAC squad.

During the 2025–26 season he split his time between Fiorentina and FC Copenhagen, making nine appearances totalling 414 minutes. This limited game time highlighted the need for regular minutes to continue his development.

The loan includes an €8 million buy‑out clause, giving Fiorentina a clear financial pathway should the midfielder impress during his spell at Le Havre. This clause ensures La Viola retains a potential future asset.

Le Havre have already bolstered their squad this summer with the arrivals of Sota Nakamura (23), Vincent Sasso (35), Kaito Mizuta (26) and Timothée Pembélé (23), making Richardson their fifth signing of the window. The club’s activity reflects a strategic push to strengthen multiple areas.

Club officials view the midfielder as a key addition to strengthen their midfield depth, describing him as a fine signing for HAC. The addition is expected to enhance competition for places and provide tactical flexibility.

Having logged only nine appearances – 414 minutes – for Fiorentina and FC Copenhagen last season, the Nice‑born player hopes the move to the Hacmen will relaunch his career. His limited playing time prompted the decision to seek regular minutes back in France.

Richardson joined Fiorentina from Stade de Reims in the summer of 2024 for a €9 million fee and is contracted until 2029. He has earned nine caps for Morocco and recorded 43 appearances, two goals and one assist for Fiorentina across all competitions.

For Le Havre, the loan provides a young, internationally‑experienced midfielder to aid their campaign, while Fiorentina retain the option to re‑acquire him permanently for €8 million if he proves his worth.
