Hornchurch add Moralee: a 20-year-old with League One pedigree

🇬🇧

Hornchurch have signed 20-year-old defender Frankie Moralee from League One side Watford.

The move reunites Moralee with manager Daryl McMahon, who previously worked with the young defender at Bromley. Moralee arrived at Watford as the son of former Millwall and Watford forward Jamie Moralee but was released by the club earlier this summer without making a senior appearance.

His only competitive football during his time at Watford came on loan at non-league AFC Whyteleafe and Cray Wanderers.

McMahon described Moralee as "a good size, with a good physical stamp, who reads the game" and said the club is "looking to helping develop his career now and moving forward."

The Urchins have not disclosed the length of Moralee's contract, leaving his immediate future at the club open to interpretation.

Moralee's arrival adds defensive depth to Hornchurch's squad as they aim to compete in the National League South.
