Free‑agent Lauritsen signs for Sampdoria, set to team up with Insigne

🇮🇹 By 4All Football Editorial ·

Lauritsen’s free‑agent status has turned into a fresh start as he prepares to join Sampdoria, where he will line up alongside former Italy international Lorenzo Insigne. The 28‑year‑old Norwegian striker, who left Sparta Rotterdam last season, sees the move as a chance to revive his career in Italy’s second tier.

Vandaag at 14:56 it was reported that Lauritsen has found a new club, confirming the transfer news that had been circulating earlier in the day.

He is currently in Italië for the medical examinations that must be completed before he can sign the contract with the Serie B side.

Sampdoria, who finished thirteenth in Italy’s second division last season, hope Lauritsen’s arrival will give them a boost in their push for promotion to Serie A.

During his four seasons at Sparta, Lauritsen amassed 52 goals and 22 assists across 144 appearances, a record that underscored his attacking contribution.

Because he was out of contract, Sampdoria will not have to pay any transfer fee for the Norwegian forward.

Bij Sampdoria he will share the front line with Lorenzo Insigne, adding experience and flair to the attacking unit.
