Deadline vs indifference: Vlahovic’s Spain move hangs in the balance

🇮🇹

Juventus have set a June 30 deadline for striker Dusan Vlahovic to decide on a renewal, while Real Madrid publicly downplay any urgency to sign him. The 26‑year‑old Serbian forward, whose agents have floated offers to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, is poised to become a free agent this summer.

Juventus and Vlahovic have been maintaining a strained relationship, with the player seeking an exit from the Serie A side. Juventus have already presented a renewal proposal, but Vlahovic remains far from accepting it.

Mateo Moretto confirmed that Real Madrid have been offered Vlahovic’s services this summer. Despite the offer, Real Madrid do not view a new striker as a priority, even though coach Jose Mourinho has expressed interest in adding a classic No. 9.

Kylian Mbappe, regarded as one of the world’s best centre‑forwards, already provides depth, reducing the need for another forward. Real Madrid are also set to reintegrate Brazilian wonderkid Endrick, meaning Vlahovic would have limited playing time if he arrived.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have also been approached by Vlahovic’s agents, reflecting his desire to play in La Liga without a specific club preference. Their interest may be heightened by the ongoing Julian Alvarez situation, where at least one of the two clubs will likely need a new striker this summer.

Last season Vlahovic made 19 league appearances for Juventus, starting 11 times, scoring seven goals and providing one assist. He averaged 2.6 shots per game and missed eight big chances, underscoring a mixed performance record.

The tight June 30 deadline makes a successful La Liga move unlikely, according to the report. Consequently, Vlahovic’s future remains uncertain as Juventus await his decision.
