Both Schalke and Wolfsburg chase Twente winger Younes Taha

🇳🇱 By 4All Football Editorial ·

Both Schalke 04 and VfL Wolfsburg are currently negotiating with FC Twente for the signature of 23‑year‑old winger Younes Taha, according to reports. The clubs are in active talks as the Dutch side looks to move the player this summer.

Both clubs are in discussions with FC Twente, and Africa Foot reported the development on Friday. The German clubs have expressed a clear intent to acquire the forward.

FC Twente has already indicated its willingness to sell Taha for an interesting offer this summer, after confirming the player is on the market.

Last season, the Tukkers loaned Taha to FC Groningen, where the Amsterdam‑born, Moroccan‑heritage player recorded five goals and ten assists across 33 league matches.

Taha returned to Enschede this summer, but it is widely expected that Twente will eventually let him depart.

Earlier media reports cited a minimum asking price of five million euros, although Africa Foot stated it had no comment on any valuation.

Multiple clubs have shown interest; Wolfsburg, Schalke and an unnamed Serie A side have approached Twente director Erik ten Hag, who reportedly turned down an Italian offer.

Schalke, where Youri Mulder serves as technical director, earned promotion to the Bundesliga last season.

VfL Wolfsburg, relegated to the second tier, have already bolstered their squad this week by signing Feyenoord goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther.

With negotiations ongoing, a transfer for Taha could be finalised before the summer window closes.
