Szoboszlai secures long-term future at Liverpool amid new era

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Dominik Szoboszlai has signed a new contract with Liverpool that runs until 2031, locking the Hungarian midfielder’s future at the Reds for another four years. The deal, announced today, follows a season in which he featured in 147 games, netting 28 goals and delivering 26 assists.

The Hongaarse (Hungarian) midfielder arrived at Liverpool in 2023 after spells with Red Bull Salzburg, FC Liefering and RB Leipzig. His flair made him a key creator under former manager Arne Slot.

Under new manager Andoni Iraola, Szoboszlai said he wants to set an example for teammates, both on and off the pitch. He added, “I am never satisfied,” emphasizing his drive to improve.

‘This may be my most beautiful day,’ the Hongaar (Hungarian) declared on club channels, noting that only his first Liverpool contract and the birth of his child could match the occasion.

He promised, “When I first signed, I said I wanted to win everything. That hasn’t changed – I want to win every trophy in England and the Champions League.”

The four‑year extension runs until 2031 after a season in which Szoboszlai featured in 147 matches, scored 28 goals and supplied 26 assists, underlining his importance to the Reds (De).

The contract signals Liverpool’s intent to retain a creative midfielder as they transition to Iraola’s leadership, reinforcing squad stability in the English Premier League.
