SWPL Glasgow City bet on experience: Rossman and Brady arrive

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Glasgow City’s latest recruitment showcases two contrasting success stories: Jesi Rossman arrives fresh from a Portuguese Super Cup triumph, while Kelly Brady joins after a prolific Irish league campaign. Both players sign for the SWPL side, promising to translate their recent glory into domestic dominance.

Jes i Rossman joins Glasgow City from Portuguese side SCU Torreense. The move brings a centre‑back with recent cup‑winning experience to the Scottish club.

At SCU Torreense she helped secure the Portuguese Super Cup, playing a pivotal role in a memorable victory over Benfica. She assisted the opening goal and scored the match‑winner, earning Player of the Match honours.

Rossman began her professional career with Athlone Town in August 2023. She converted the decisive penalty in the FAI Cup final and contributed to Athlone’s historic first league title in 2024, later being named in the League’s Best XI.

Kelly Brady signs for Glasgow City after leaving newly promoted Women’s Super League side Crystal Palace. The forward adds proven goal‑scoring ability to the squad.

Born in the United States, Brady has already represented Ireland on the international stage, adding an international dimension to her profile.

During a successful spell at Athlone Town, Brady finished as the top scorer in the 2025 League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division with 26 goals across all competitions. She capped the season with a hat‑trick in the FAI Cup Final, helping Athlone secure the trophy and earning Women’s Personality of the Year.

Her breakthrough earned her a call‑up to the Republic of Ireland squad in November 2025.

On signing for Glasgow City Rossman said: “I’m so excited to sign with Glasgow City. It’s an incredible club with amazing history and I can’t wait to get started.” Brady echoed: “I’m thrilled to join Glasgow City. I look forward to competing at the top of the table with this team and hopefully bringing more hardware to the club.”

The contrasting paths of Rossman’s Portuguese cup success and Brady’s Irish scoring exploits illustrate Glasgow City’s strategy of blending continental experience with home‑grown firepower as they chase more hardware in the SWPL.
