One-year deal adds Greek goalkeeper Anastasiadis to Hibernian

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

A one-year contract, with an option for a second year, sees 25‑year‑old Greece international Ariana Anastasiadis join Hibernian. The deal gives the Scottish Women’s Premier League side a new goalkeeper and adds depth to their squad.

After leaving Kifisia, where she featured in the Greek top flight, Anastasiadis arrives having helped the club finish ninth of fourteen last season. The move follows her departure from the Greek league.

Hibernian head coach Joelle Murray praised the signing, calling her "a talented goalkeeper with excellent potential and a strong mentality" and noting she will add quality and competition to the goalkeeping group.

Anastasiadis began her senior career with Le Havre, contributing to their promotion as second‑tier champions in 2020. Her early experience laid the foundation for her subsequent successes.

She later won top‑flight titles and domestic cups with Apollon in Cyprus and Osijek in Croatia, demonstrating her ability to succeed in different leagues.

Internationally, the Greek keeper earned her sole cap in a 1‑1 friendly draw with Bosnia‑Herzegovina in December, highlighting her experience at the national level.

The signing marks Hibernian's fourth addition of the summer, underscoring the club's ambition to strengthen the squad and compete at the highest level of the Scottish Women’s Premier League.
