Leandro Trossard says goodbye to Arsenal, heads to Turkey

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Leandro Trossard recorded a farewell video in his flat in Londres, announcing his departure from Arsenal. After three and a half years in Londres, the Diable Rouge confirmed he will join Besiktas in Turquie.

Trossard arrived in England from KRC Genk in the summer of 2019. He spent three and a half seasons at Brighton, playing 121 matches, before moving to Arsenal where he featured in 174 games.

In the video he told Arsenal supporters, “From the first day I arrived at the club, you made me feel at home.” He added that he will always be extremely grateful and proud to have worn the Arsenal badge.

He recalled sharing many incredible memories, especially the title‑winning season last year. He also mentioned playing in the Champions League final that season, which was lost on penalties to PSG.

“Entering the pitch hearing North London Forever still gives me chills,” he said, noting that his chapter at Arsenal was over. He concluded that it was time to take a new step.

Trossard signed a contract with Besiktas that runs until June 2029. Besiktas supporters have welcomed him and his first official match will be on 23 July in the Europa League second‑qualifying round against Midtjylland.
