WAFCON: ‘We’re battle ready’ – Fazili speaks before Malawi vs Cameroon
Malawi women’s national team coach Lovemore Fazili says his Scorchers are “battle ready” and refuse to be intimidated by continental powerhouse Cameroon ahead of the WAFCON 2026 final, insisting the side is fearless, well‑prepared and fully intent on winning the tournament.
Fazili rejects underdog label
Fazili rejected the notion that Malawi are overawed underdogs against Cameroon. He emphasized that the Scorchers possess the talent, discipline and winning mentality required to claim the continental trophy. The coach stressed that fearlessness defines his squad.
