Juventus ultras delay Turin Derby start amid protest

🇮🇹

Juventus ultras protested before the Turin Derby, forcing kickoff delays. The Serie A match between Juventus and Torino FC began 15 minutes late on April 27, 2025.

Supporters displayed banners and blocked access to the stadium to oppose the club’s leadership. The protest targeted Juventus’ ownership under CEO Alessandro D’Annunzio and director Maurizio Arrivabene.

D’Annunzio and Arrivabene held an emergency meeting with Turin police ahead of the match to address the situation. Authorities confirmed no arrests were made during the demonstration.

The delayed start disrupted Serie A’s scheduled kickoffs for four games across Italy. Juventus’ home match was the most affected, with the other three games starting behind schedule by 10-20 minutes.

Serie A officials condemned the protest as a breach of sporting conduct. The league stated it would review security protocols for future fixtures.

Juventus issued a statement urging fans to engage in dialogue rather than disruptive actions. The club emphasized its commitment to resolving internal issues through proper channels.
