Perez eyes €150m bid for PSG player post-election
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez confirmed plans to bid €150m for a star player if re-elected on Sunday. The €150m target is narrowed to two Paris Saint-Germain players, according to reports.
Perez, 79, faces Enrique Riquelme in the Real Madrid presidential election on Sunday. His bid would proceed only if he secures re-election.
The unnamed superstar is currently at Paris Saint-Germain. Both potential targets remain at the French club as of now.
Perez’s bid would be the highest ever for a player if completed. The previous record stands at €140m for Kylian Mbappé’s move to Real Madrid in 2024.
Real Madrid’s board will vote on the bid after Perez’s potential re-election. The club has not commented on the proposed €150m offer.
