Adolf Hütter Returns to Eintracht Frankfurt as Coach
Adolf Hütter has been appointed head coach of Eintracht Frankfurt for a second spell beginning in the 2026/27 season. He signed a contract that runs until 2029.
Hütter spent the previous three seasons coaching Monaco in France. He was dismissed by the French club after nine league matches.
Hütter’s first tenure at Eintracht Frankfurt started in the 2018/19 campaign. In that inaugural season he guided the side to the Europa League semi‑finals. The team was knocked out by Chelsea on penalties, and Chelsea subsequently won the competition.
Frankfurt finished fifth in the Bundesliga under Hütter. That placement was achieved in the last season of his first spell with the club.
The 56‑year‑old coach said returning to Frankfurt was “very special and emotional”. He added that his time in the city had left a lasting impression and that he felt he left matters unresolved.
He will take charge of the squad for the 2026/27 campaign. The announcement was made via the club’s official media channels.
