Club Brugge’s move for Adedeji-Sternberg leaves Genk in the dark

Club Brugge have reached a personal agreement with 21-year-old winger Noah Adedeji-Sternberg, a move that has taken KRC Genk by surprise. The Belgian top-flight champions have also initiated formal contact with the player’s club regarding a transfer.

Genk were not informed of the agreement, which was finalised without their knowledge. Adedeji-Sternberg’s representatives confirmed the personal terms but did not disclose financial or contract specifics.

Club Brugge’s approach reflects their ambition to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season. The 21-year-old has featured regularly in Genk’s first-team squad this campaign, making 18 league appearances.

Genk’s sporting director expressed frustration over the lack of transparency from both player and Brugge. The club has not yet responded publicly to the developments.
