Real Madrid Expected to Activate Nico Paz Buyback
Real Madrid are expected to activate a €9 million buy‑back clause to bring Nico Paz back from Como 1907. Como president Mirwan Suwarso said the decision rests entirely with Real Madrid. Suwarso added that the club is waiting for Madrid’s response. Suwarso’s comments were reported by Fabrizio Romano.
The €9 million clause gives Real Madrid the option to re‑sign Paz. A €10 million clause also exists for a potential 2027 activation.
Como 1907 remain hopeful of keeping Paz for another year, citing their recent qualification for the UEFA Champions League. The club competes in Serie A. Paz is an Argentine midfielder.
Real Madrid have praised Paz’s progress over two Serie A seasons, describing him as one of the most exciting young players in the league. The club is eager to have him back at the Valdebebas training complex regardless of the upcoming presidential election or the appointment of a new first‑team manager.
Until Real Madrid communicates a decision, the player’s future stays uncertain. Both clubs await the outcome as the summer transfer window approaches.
