Juárez part ways with Pedro Caixinha after winless start
Pedro Caixinha has departed as technical director of Football Club Juárez, the Mexican first‑division side, after the club announced the termination early Monday morning via a social‑media post. The decision follows a winless Apertura start, with three defeats leaving Juárez at the bottom of the table.
The club communicated the end of the employment relationship with Caixinha and his technical staff through the post. The statement confirmed the separation from the Portuguese coach and his team. The announcement specifically names Caixinha} as the departing coach. The club, often referred to as Ju, issued the notice early Monday.
"Football Club Juárez informs that the labour relationship with technical director Pedro Caixinha and his technical team has come to an end. We thank Pedro and his staff for the time, dedication and commitment shown in taking on the challenges of our institution, wishing them the greatest success in the future," the club wrote.
Caixinha's tenure began with a troubled start, as he failed to secure any victory in the first three Apertura matches. Those three games all ended in defeat for the team.
Juárez, based in Mexico, currently occupies the last place in the league standings. The poor results have left the club anchored at the bottom of the table.
The squad also features Portuguese midfielder Ricardinho, a compatriot of the departing coach. His presence underscores the Portuguese connection within the club.
