Hans Vanaken Rates Himself Eight for Season Ahead of Awards
Club Brugge midfielder Hans Vanaken has cast his vote for the Pro League Player of the Season award, which will be presented next Monday. Vanaken is among the leading favourites to win the prize.
All professional footballers in the Belgian Pro League took part in the voting process for the award. The collective vote determines the shortlist for the Player of the Season honour.
When asked to evaluate his own performances, Vanaken gave himself an eight out of ten for the campaign. He described the rating as a realistic assessment of his contributions.
Vanaken added that the score could rise by half a point if Club Brugge clinch the league title. The conditional increase reflects his confidence in the team's prospects.
The midfielder's comments come as Club Brugge continue to chase the championship. Their season objectives remain central to his personal evaluation.
The Pro League Awards ceremony, scheduled for Monday, will reveal the winner of the Player of the Season accolade. The event will also celebrate other achievements in Belgian football.
