Juventus targets Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili

Serie A club Juventus are prioritizing a goalkeeper transfer this summer. Michele Di Gregorio and Mattia Perin are set to leave Juventus.

Liverpool’s Giorgi Mamardashvili is Juventus’s top target. The Georgian international started all three matches for Liverpool in pre-season.

Juventus Sporting Director Federico Cherubini met Liverpool officials in London last week. Liverpool are not expected to sell Mamardashvili unless a suitable replacement is identified.

Mamardashvili joined Liverpool in July 2023 from Valencia for a reported €10 million fee. He has made 38 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions.

Juventus will also consider alternatives if Mamardashvili remains unavailable. Chelsea’s Robert Sánchez is another name under evaluation.

The Old Lady’s summer transfer window opens on July 1. A goalkeeper deal must be completed before then.
