Inter Milan says Alessandro Bastoni not for sale

Inter Milan have confirmed that Alessandro Bastoni will not be sold this summer. FC Barcelona remain interested in the 27‑year‑old centre‑back but the defender is off the market.

Inter president Giuseppe Marotta dismissed any possibility of a transfer. Manager Cristian Chivu also reiterated that the club will not negotiate Bastoni’s departure.

Chivu described Bastoni as “one of our champions” and one of the best centre‑backs in the world. He added that Bastoni’s contributions to Inter Milan are vital now and for the future.

Barcelona’s defensive recruitment has been downgraded, with Ronald Araujo expected to stay and Andreas Christensen likely to renew his contract. The club’s remaining targets include Josko Gvardiol of Manchester City and Castello Lukeba of RB Leipzig.
