Monza Secures Serie A Return After Playoff Final Loss

Monza confirmed promotion to Serie A for the 2025‑26 season. The promotion was confirmed today after the club lost the second leg 0‑2 at home to Catanzaro in the playoff final.

Despite the home defeat, Monza's aggregate result over the two legs was sufficient to clinch promotion. The playoff final determined the final spot in Serie A for the upcoming season.

Monza had been relegated from Serie A at the end of the 2023‑24 campaign. Their return comes just one year after dropping to Serie B.

The club will now prepare for top‑flight competition next season. Squad reinforcement will be required to compete in Italy’s elite league.
