UNFP and clubs sign collective bargaining agreement

🇫🇷 20 May 2026

UNFP and club representatives signed a new collective bargaining agreement on Monday 18 May. The deal will take effect from 1 July.

The agreement was concluded between the players' union representing female footballers and the clubs' side. It sets out the terms of the collective bargaining contract.

Negotiations culminated on 18 May, marking the end of the bargaining process. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the result.

The collective bargaining agreement defines the framework for employment conditions for women players. Its provisions will be applied from 1 July.

The new contract replaces the previous arrangement and aims to provide clearer guidelines for clubs and players. Implementation will be overseen by the union.

The agreement is expected to shape the professional environment for women's football moving forward. Stakeholders will now focus on applying the provisions.
